The tree was frozen in time for at least 8 months some of which it was in a pot then in spring it went into the ground and took off like a rocket and didn't stop growing unt Small size. It is unlikely that you have an insect problem since avocado trees are usually not attacked by insect pests. It does require care to bring this subtropical tree through winter.
